The CricKit is a single use kit used to establish a Surgical Airway when all other airway management options fail.

Usage

The Establish Surgical Airway action is available on the Head in the Airway/Breathing Tab

The kit is consumed upon completing, cancelling or failing to establish a surgical airway.

  • If a surgical airway is cancelled before an incision is made then the crickit is returned instead
  • Head Tilt-Chin Lift - If a head tilt-chin lift is performed it will be cancelled upon starting to establish a surgical airway.
  • Recovery Position - If the patient is placed into the recovery position establishing a surgical airway will cancel the recovery position.
  • CPR and BVM - A surgical airway allows performing simultaneous CPR and BVM rescue breaths

Indications

  • Severe airway inflammation
  • Unmanaged airway spasm
