Adenosine is a medication used to treat certain cardiac arrhythmias.
Adenosine is used in the case of Supraventricular Tachycardia, pushed adenosine will chemically stop the heart in an attempt to convert the rhythm.
Adenosine is administered intravenously with a quick onset, very short peak and short duration.
Adenosine has no effect if administered intramuscularly.
